When we think of Eve a lot of us jump straight to the Garden of Eden. We all know the story of the seperpant, the apple, and the fall… so much so in fact that it has become Eve’s identity and we often overlook the rest of Eve’s story.
You see, Eve was more than just the “first woman” and throughout this blog series we are going to look into Eve’s story a little more in depth. Over the month of September we will look into the following aspects of Eve’s life:
- In The Beginning
- The First Wife
- The First Mother
- The First Overcomer
Genesis tells us that Eve was a woman of many “first(s)” and the apple in the garden was just the beginning. Her story didn’t end when they left Eden, it was just beginning. Eve was about to be the first woman to face trial, tribulation, pain, and suffering – learning that trusting God in all things brings us from tragedy to blessings.
I love the story of Eve because it shows us as women, mothers, daughters, wives (whatever our journey may be) we can overcome through the power and grace of our Creator, Father, and Friend. Eve teaches us that we all fall short, but God’s love never ends and His mercies are new each and every morning when we rise.
